Maha Chetiya - houses the Buddha's relic and His Majesty's hair. The above photograph is of His Majesty the King presenting the relic to Ven. Phra Videshbodhikun

The Maha Chetiya is constructed in accordance with the plan given by 
His Majesty the King, Phra Maha Dhat Chalermrajsaddha. 

The Maha Chetiya, 9.73 x 9.73 meters in size, consists of 9 stupas. The main stupa is 19 meters tall. The Buddha images, belonging to 9 Rama kings, are placed on the platforms. Eight Buddha images were placed in the outer niches to bless Sentient beings in eight directions.
