The Maha Chetiya,
housing the Buddha's relic, is the most important monument of the
monastery. It is the center of worship for Buddhist all over the
world. Standing as an important landmark on the precinct of
Kushinagar, it is one of the finest gift from Thailand to India,
the land of the Buddha - thereby strengthening the bilateral
age-old relationship between the two countries. |

sparkling crystal stupa in the heart of the Maha Chetiya
will enshrine the Buddha's relic once the entire
construction is complete |

sacred prayer hall, temporarily housing the Buddha's relic
and His Majesty's hair. |

exquisite flower motif has been used to decorate the
pillars and walls within the stupa. These motifs depict 'Monthakrup',
flowers from the heavenly garden |

ceiling is adorned with an intricate artifact in the
center symbolising the universe |

in rich gold and traditional Thai art and colours |
